Chip Beck (born September 12, 1956) is a former professional golfer from the United States who was a three-time All-American while playing for the University of Georgia. He has four PGA Tour wins to his credit, as well as twenty runner-up finishes. Between 1988 and 1989, he spent a total of 40 weeks in the world’s top ten golf rankings, which was a personal best. Beck was born in the North Carolina city of Fayetteville. He was runner-up in the 1993 Masters Tournament and also tied for runner-up at the 1986 and 1989 U.S. Open tournaments. He is particularly remembered for his outstanding performance in the 1991 Ryder Cup, which was hosted at the Kiawah Island Golf Resort. He has played in three Ryder Cups, the first in 1989 and the second in 1993, both of which were held at The Belfry Golf & Country Club in Sutton Coldfield, England. In 1988, he was awarded the Vardon Trophy. A round of 59 in the 1991 Las Vegas Invitational, played at the Sunrise Golf Club (par 72) in Las Vegas, Nevada, made Beck one of just six players on the PGA Tour’s history to accomplish so. Beck is one of only six players to have done so. His round included five pars and thirteen birdies (a PGA Tour record for the most birdies in a single round), including a three-footer on the 18th hole, which set a new course record. Beck ended in a tie for third place overall in the event. As part of the 2003 Omaha Classic, a Nationwide Tour tournament, he also shot a hole-in-one (also known as double eagle), which occurred on the par-4 9th hole in the first round. It was the first time this had happened on the Nationwide Tour and just the second time it had happened under the PGA Tour umbrella overall. During the 1997-1998 season, Beck missed 46 straight PGA Tour cuts and finally departed the tour to work in the insurance industry. Beck qualified for the Champions Tour in 2006, and he went on to experience a resurgence of success. He presently lives in the Chicago suburb of Lake Forest, Illinois.Chip Beck Net Worth : $ 9 Million
